Samantha Renshi Skinner (she/her)

Samantha is a second-generation Korean American producer from Austin, Texas. She is passionate about Asian American storytelling, with notable works including the 2023 Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning short film "When You Left Me On That Boulevard" and the ARRAY-distributed documentary feature "Who We Become."

Her recent short film, "An Ongoing List Of Things Found In The Library Bookdrop, Usually Being Used As Bookmarks," premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival, and later won the Special Jury Prize for Short Short at the 2025 Aspen Shortsfest. Her work has been featured on platforms such as Netflix, Vimeo Staff Pick, Le Cinéma Club, and Short of the Week, and she is proud to be a 2023 Sundance Institute Producers Intensive Fellow. Currently, Samantha is developing her first feature film, "On Earth as it is in Heaven" with Sleepover Films.

In addition to her film work, Samantha has over five years of professional experience in higher education from working in studio environments at the University of Texas and New York University. She serves as the Director of Operations for the 370J Media Commons at NYU.

When she’s not doing the above, Samantha likes spending time with her fiancé and two cats in their Brooklyn apartment, yapping with friends, going to shows, and writing her first script.
